Tips on how to get into ESF Primary Schools

Now, I suggest everyone who has something to say about this topic here and leave the sad thread alone so that it can sink to the bottom of the page!

My kid goes to one of the ESF Kinders and did not pass the first interview in January. Kiddo speaks only English and we were astonished to learn that kiddo did not make it. Class teacher at school was puzzled and didn't understand why kiddo didn't make it. We found out later that kiddo did not follow instructions on the day of interview and that was one of the key issues concerned the interview team.

We stressed to kiddo that interview is a serious matter (while before the first interview we just told kiddo to have fun, but apparently kiddo had too much fun and did not follow instructions), kids should be serious about it and follow teachers' instructions. Kiddo passed the second interivew, phew.

My point is, ESF primary does look beyond English proficiency, I think they do look for readiness too. Parents should prepare their kids and themselves for that.
