Can anyone share anything about IB teaching

More and more international schools are changing from traditional teaching to IB. Can you share your thoughts about this I understand that some of the top schools and universitys in the UK don't accept the IB diploma result but prefer A levels. Is it true that IB is more popular in the USA and Canada? How well is your child doing under the IB system?
