Chinese level of ESF
Everyone said the Chinese level of ESF is super low. Even the graduates said they don't understand Chinese and can't write. But I just randomly searched the IB past paper (I think it is the more difficult one). Its not easy at all. I think its comparable to the HKCEE or HKAL in the old days (sorry, don't know much about the new system).
But every one said the Chinese level is very low. is it because every one take the easier one (level B ) ? how easy is it? where can i take a look at its past paper? Or they simply don't take Chinese, but take Spanish or other language instead?
I am a bit confused, they have Chinese class almost every day in primary school. I assume they will continue to learn Chinese in secondary school. With that amount of exposure to Chinese, how come many graduates still say they can't understand Chinese at all?
The students in foundation schools study simplied Chinese. Is it difficult to switch to traditional Chinese at work?
Many thanks. |
