RC - Chinese Pathway 2

Wanna ask the experienced ESF parents, my son is a new joiner in RC's year 2 and he's assigned to path 2 Chinese class, I wanna ask:

1) does anyone have good idea for helping kids' Chinese proficiency I try to stay away from taking tuition class and thinking some kind of mandarin speaking activities, any recommendations?

2) if he continues in path 2 all the way (touchwood), can he take bilingual diploma?

3) I heard, not sure if it's true, only 1% of the students will be assigned to path 3 in each year group?
