teacher student ratio implication

Mind share your views of below :

1. 30 pupils/class with a teacher and an EA vs 24 pupils/class with just one teacher, which one allows more effective delivery of classes

2. No doubt the ratio has significant impact for kindergarten and lower primary students. But what about upper primary students? How would you weight the ratio comparing to curriculum, teachers’ quality etc when choosing a sch?
